Indiana unveils new 24/7 BMV Connect Self-Service Office

FORT WAYNE, IN—Today Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and IN BMV Commissioner Peter Lacy unveiled the Pine Valley Self-Service Office (SSO), branded BMV Connect Center, located at the Pine Valley BMV Branch, 10204 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The BMV Connect Center is an industry first office model, providing 24/7 service to BMV customers. Indiana residents can conduct BMV transactions, when it is most convenient for them, in a highly secure, easily accessible and customer-friendly environment.

The IN BMV Connect Center is the most technologically advanced office specifically designed for motor vehicle services. Interactive help screens provide detailed information with easy-to-use touch screen kiosks and voice assistance. The BMV Connect Center is one of the most innovative and interactive customer service options available to BMV customers.

Indiana BMV Commissioner Lacy’s vision is to give Indiana residents the ability to conduct BMV services where they want, when they want, either online or in person, on weekends or after hours. The BMV Connect Center is staffed during peak hours providing customer assistance for completing transactions or answering questions. For security, the office is consistently monitored 24/7 from a Customer Call Center.

“Indiana BMV Connect is a first of its kind innovation,” states Commissioner Peter Lacy, “by placing self-service kiosks in convenient locations that are open 24 hours, Hoosiers can perform many of the most common BMV transactions on their own time, using highly secure technology.”

The BMV self-service technology is easy-to-use and transactions can be completed in as little as 2 minutes. Simply scan a driver’s license, swipe a credit card, and then print your registration card and decal. Instructions and voice prompts are in available in English or Spanish making the kiosks as easy to use as an ATM.
